R-Design By Volvo For The S90 And V90
Auto News
Volvo’s new S90 and V90 have been well received by the motoring journalist fraternity with plenty of high-five reviews and if you’re from America plenty of whooping with delight. We just made the last bit up, but Volvo are not taking anything for granted and have added R-Design trim to the S90 and V90 model range. Volvo-S90-V90-R-Design-Front So what is R-Design? R-Design adds a lowered chassis and re-tuned suspension settings to give the S90 and V90 more on road purpose and poise. Roughly translated that means you will pay more for a slightly more aggressive look and enhanced driving dynamics. Your potential new S90 R-Design will come with a new sporty looking body-kit which will include a more angry looking front end with a piano black grille finish. Volvo-S90-V90-R-Design-Profile Some of the trim has been replaced with carbon-fibre effect detailing and the ambient lighting system is standard on all R-Design models. R-Design spec S90 and V90 models will be offered with two diesel D4 and D5 engines ranging in power from 187bhp and 232bhp and the 8-speed auto transmission is fitted as standard. Volvo-S90-V90-R-Design-Estate Volvo will not be offering UK buyers a petrol engine however the Twin-Engine Hybrid will join the range later in the year. If you really want a Volvo S90 or V90 or perhaps both then each model will carry a £2k premium over the current top of the range Inscription models. Volvo have yet to finalise prices, but expect to pay in the region of £38k for the S90 D4 R-Design.  Volvo-S90-V90-R-Design-Twins
