Was The E Class Coupe ‘Leak’ An Insider Job?
Auto News
A few days ago the new E Class coupe was leaked by a Belgian website and unsurprisingly car websites went into a bit of a flutter. It has been a tediously slow news month and editors of popular car websites probably grew tired of showing too many Nurburgring crashes and or funny Memes. Someone had somehow managed to get their hands of a brochure of the new E Class Coupe, which officially debuts tomorrow, and sent a copy to the Editors. So was the leak intentional? Yes absolutely but was it due to a disgruntled Mercedes employee or industrial espionage? It may well be that there is an industrial spy planted in Mercedes, by one of it’s key rivals, but while industrial spying is illegal it is commonplace. Though no company will ever admit to it for obvious reasons. mercedes-e-class-coupe-leaked-be Or the simple explanation is that the leak was created by a disgruntled employee. Nevertheless the E Class looks pretty much as imagined, expected, as is. The overall design appears to borrow exterior design elements from anther big ugly Merc, the S Class Coupe. The interior is very obviously carried over from the new E Class saloon, that’s no bad thing, with exception of the re-designed air vents. mercedes-e-class-coupe-leaked-interior According to the leaked brochure the new E Class Coupe will initially be available as four models the E220d, E200, E300 and E400 4Matic. The current E Class Coupe is actually based on a C Class chassis which is now nearly 10 years old. Pricing has yet to be revealed for each territory but expect to pay a hefty premium for a car that offers two less doors and nicer looking seats.  mercedes-e-class-coupe-leaked-front
