Admittedly our knowledge of the French language is zero but we know where the wining side is and it looks like the DS 7 Crossback from Citroen may well have a winner on their hands with this all new SUV. Everyone is doing the SUV thing right now because it’s what you the consumer wants from the America’s to Europe to the Far East SUV is literally a license to print money. Citroen is to Peugeot what Audi is to Volkswagen so it’s fair Citroen are aimed at the bourgeoisie end of the SUV market. So you get plenty of Nappa leather and contrast stitching, heated seats and Apple iPhone Siri/ Android connectivity. Citroen-DS7-Crossback-Museum Exterior detailing includes a new diamond-effect grille, horizontal chrome DS Wings and LED rotating headlamps create dynamic lines on the body front. A choice of five petrol and diesel engines will be available, three petrol power units ranging from 130bhp, 180bhp and 225bhp and two Diesel units ranging from 130bhp and 180 bhp, most will be available with either the new 8-speed auto or 6-speed manual, depending on trim and options. Citroen-DS7-Crossback-Interior The DS 7 Crossback will be available with a plug-in hybrid petrol drivetrain with 300hp and 4WD, the latest-generation 8-speeds transmission, a THP S&S 225hp engine and two electric motors. The 4WD plug-in hybrid petrol drivetrain will become available from spring 2019. The interior features two 12-inch screens positioned at the heart of the cabin, it works with the navigation system as well as managing the multimedia interface, MirrorScreen and DS CONNECT functions. Citroen-DS7-Crossback-Midnight The second is a personalisable screen dedicated to the digital instrument cluster. The DS 7 Crossback will also have the latest semi-autnomous driving tech, DS Connected Pilot makes it possible to delegate driving and also to take back control at any time. Citroen-DS7-Crossback-Rear This system features Stop & Go Active Cruise Control, which adjusts vehicle speed accordingly to the car in front. Active at speeds of up to 112mph according to national speed limit legislation, it controls the vehicle’s speed and course for the driver. Modern day cars feature a massive amount of tech and the DS 7 Crossback comes loaded with tech, perhaps for the first time in this segment is Night Vision, which needs little explanation.
