$2.5m Mysterious McLaren F1 Successor Already Sold Out Despite Not Being Production Ready
Auto News
McLaren’s spiritual successor to the 1990’s F1 will cost $2.5 million dollars when it launches in 2019. Despite having no official title, no official images, no official spec few details have emerged about the so called Hyper GT. We do know it will have a 3 seat cockpit with the drivers seat being centrally mounted, just like the original McLaren F1. We also know the Hyper GT will be limited to just 106 models, mirroring the exact total of the original 1990’s F1. We also know that all 106 examples have already been sold. Code-named BP23 McLaren are billing the car as a Hyperluxury GT, it won’t be as track focused as the F1 but surely McLaren will eventually launch a hardcore version. McLaren demanded that customers put down a five-figure deposit and must have a long relationship and history of buying McLaren. There were no shortage of buyers as McLaren want to exclusivity and prevent anyone from making a profit.  McLaren-F1--1993-Dailycarblog
