Meet The Worst Sounding Hypercar Name Ever, The Dendrobium
Video
Ever heard of Dendrobium? Nope neither have we but what we do know is that Dendrobium isn’t a species of never before heard of plants, more specifically it is actually named after a species of plant! Nevertheless it’s the first supercar to come out of Sinagpore. Dendrobium may be the worst supercar name in history but there is serious engineering going on here. The Dendrobium is joint development between Williams F1 and Chinese based Vanda Electrics, it’s an all electric hypercar. Williams Advanced Engineering, the technology division of Williams F1 Group, assisted in the design and development of the all electric powertain. The Dendrobium will be officially revealed at the forthcoming Geneva Motorshow, no specific details about price, specification or performance have been revealed so far. Rumours suggest the Dendrobium will deliver around 1,500bhp with a pure electric range of 30 miles, typical of all electric cars. The Dendrobium will be hand built in limited numbers, such a car could easily cost anything between £1m – £2m GBP.  Dendrobium
