Hollywood royalty Tom Cruise was one of the first owners of the super car, showcasing his Bugatti Veyron at the premier of Mission Impossible III where he famously struggled to open the door. Although Cruise has made a career from portraying character capable of the sublime, real life proves to be a little more difficult for the actor.
Door problems and all, Cruise hasn’t too badly for himself, with his garage playing host to millions of dollars’ worth of prestige cars that includes a Porsche 911, Chevrolet Chevelle SS and Mercedes CLK.
Jay-Z
What do you buy for your significant other’s birthday? A box of chocolates? A romantic meal out? How about a $2 million Bugatti Veyron? Well, that’s exactly what Beyonce bought for husband Jay-Z’s 41st birthday in 2010.
The rapper is no stranger to being behind the wheel of a luxury car, with a collection worth in excess of $15 million dollars to his name. Alongside the Bugatti Veyron, Jay-Z is also the proud owner of a Pagani Zonda F, Mercedes Benz Sprinter Limousine and a Maybach Exelero. All of that doesn’t even include all of the vehicles owned by his pop star wife, making for an eye-watering assortment.
Tom Brady
When you are the owner of no less than five Super Bowl rings, considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time and still going strong at 40 years old, you simply do not settle for second best, and Tom Brady did not.
The New England Patriots star drives a $3 million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in between games, and continues to wow audiences with record-breaking performances on the field. It just goes to show what hard work and dedication can earn you, as it is easy to forget that Brady was pick number 199 back in the NFL draft of 2000. He was just glad that he didn’t have to be an insurance salesman.
Cristiano Ronaldo
After leading his country, Portugal, to European Championship glory in 2016, four-time Ballon d’Or (World Player of the Year) winner Cristiano Ronaldo treated himself to a $2.25 million Bugatti Veyron. The Real Madrid superstar splashed out on the 16.4 Grand Sport model, which can go from zero to 100mph in five seconds flat.
Ronaldo is obviously a fan of Bugatti’s, having also bought the Chiran, the Veyron’s successor, after making his 400th appearance for the Spanish club, with whom he has also won three Champions League medals.
Simon Cowell
The British record producer and television judge, Simon Cowell, is not one for modesty, which is probably why he decided to buy the Bugatti Veyron in 2008. However, as of 2014, the Veyron no longer resides in the Cowell garage having been sold weeks prior to the birth of his son with just a mere 1,300 miles on the clock.
We are sure that, whoever the lucky buyer was, the new owner has taken good care of such a fantastic piece of motoring excellence.
