Peugeot Just Moved To Type II Civilisation Status With The New 508 Saloon
Auto News
This is the bold new look for the all-new Peugeot 508, Peugeot had to reveal it early due to a disgruntled employee leaking images all over the interweb ahead of the official Geneva Motorshow March debut. Out of courtesy, we decided to wait for an official response from Peugeot and resisted the temptation to go for the headline click-baiting strategy that plagues many other publishers when a “leak” happens. Actually, our use of the Kardashev scale to compare the 508 to a Type II civilization appears that we did indeed go for a click-baiting headline option… yes we did. Peugeot-508-2018-Model-Side-Elevation-Dailycarblog Nevertheless, this is the all-new 508 and its looking good on the outside and seriously Audi and BMW rivaling on the inside. The 508 is sure to follow the same model trim options as before and will also offer the same engine range to that of the current 508. Peugeot-508-2018-Model-Interior-Dailycarblog So, expect to see six petrol and diesel engines between 1.6-litres and 2.0-litres in capacity ranging from 130bhp to 225bhp. Expect hybrid versions and possibly (at a wild guess) a pure electric option. The 508 will have six levels of advanced driver assistance which will also include a new night vision system. Cost? that’s another press release away (expect a price hike though of around £1k across all model trims).  Peugeot-508-2018-Model-Featured-Image-Dailycarblog
