The Lister Motor Company or Lister Cars as they are most commonly known as has been in existence for over 60 years. The Lister LFP is their latest bespoke offering. The UK based company is known for manufacturing sports cars for various motor racing categories and has long been associated with Jaguar. Lister’s current side project is the Lister LFP. Power is sourced from a 5.0-litre V8 which is being tuned to deliver a reputed 670bhp. By doing so Lister claims that the F-Pace based LFP will become the world’s fastest SUV. The top speed is claimed to be 200mph with a 0-62mph time of 3.5 seconds. The Lister LFP will be a limited bespoke production although no production figures have been released. The Lister LFP will have a modified, bespoke and extensive carbon fiber modifications to help lower the weight. A bespoke car requires a bespoke, re-branded and bespoke interior and Lister has gone the extra mile there too. The current world’s fastest SUV title goes to the 707bhp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.  Whether Lister can out muscle the Trackhawk remains to be seen. The company is now taking advance orders for the LFP, with prices estimated to start at around £140,000. So, to dispute Lister’s claims, the Lister LFP will not be the worlds fastest SUV but it will most certainly be the world’s maddest.
