OK, so we received a review sample from our very good friends (high-five) Armor All, car care cleaning royalty. Then we thought what the hell do we have to clean? we regularly get new cars and they are always delivered valeted. Then we turned to the long-termer. The Volkswagen Tiguan. God, it’s a boring car and a disappointment but the situation is what it is and needs must.

Anyway, I always eat snacks while driving, often it’s a small bag of M&M’s. Because the interior of the Tiguan is two-tone with white trim I never eat crumbly chocolate for obvious reasons. OCD reasons.

But this time I was hankering for a Kit Kat and damn it, for once I didn’t bother if it crumbled or not. I’m a man and I’m going to eat like a human animal, that’s what I’m talking about!

Anyway, the Kit Kat crumbled onto the driver seat, however, because I had the heated seats on the chocolate melted into the fabric. The ‘man’ suddenly turned into a high-pitched squeal.

Luckily Armor All arrived in time to rescue the situation with their interior care kit.

So the box contained glass and leather wipes, a protective gloss finish for both inside and outside the car (i.e. plastic trim) and more relevant to the situation at hand, a spray bottle of multi-purpose cleaner. The latter ideal for cloth and or leather interiors.

But then I noticed the Tiguan interior was a little neglected, a little dusty so I made haste to clean the surrounding dash area first, I didn’t want to sit on a damp driver’s seat.

So I used the container of dashboard wipes, cloth in feel, double folded. Now the wipe cleans, shines and protects and is scented in that new car way.

But the car is already fairly new, 6-months old-new, however, the wipes did a good job of lifting a few weeks of dust and grime.

I then wiped the surface with the microfibre cloth. Never forget the value of a quality microfibre cloth folks.

The microfibre cloth lifted the dust particles and residual moisture left over from the dashboard wipes to leave behind a streak-free, showroom finish.

So the damp and cheap microfibre cloth I often use is now being replaced by Armor All. I don’t like a shiny look, however, the dashboard wipes yielded a matt finish which is fine.

If you want that shiny look then go for the Protectant Gloss Finish which was also bundled into the box.

The Protectant Gloss Finish and Leather wipes will be used for the down-and-out Range Rover interior for sure.

So, in conclusion, the Armor All car care cleaning bundle worked better than I expected. The microfibre cloth is key to binding the ArmorAll universe together.
