Move Aside People, The New 2019 Vauxhall Astra Is In-Da-House
Auto News

The 2019 Vauxhall Astra is in-da-house. You see how we are using popular cultural language from the late 1990s early 2000s? We’re always appropriating ethnic culture to substitute boring middle class, Shakespearean England culture because my white middle-class England has no other creative outlet other than to appropriate ethnic culture… and then deport immigrants. But what has bland white middle-class culture, got to do with the Vauxhall Astra?

While I try to editorially justify the opening paragraph the new, or rather newly updated Vauxhall Astra is now offered with a new range of petrol and diesel engines and a new nine-speed automatic gearbox.

The new engines offer lower emissions and improved efficiency, so says Vauxhall. Improved airflow/aerodynamics also reduces fuel consumption.

The new petrol engines include a three-cylinder, turbo petrol available with 1.2 and 1.4-litre displacements. With power outputs extending from 110PS to 145PS and maximum torque from 195Nm to 236Nm.

The 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engines offer 105PS and 122PS, as well as 260 to 300Nm of torque. The common rail fuel injection system operates at up to 2,000 bar.

The updated Astra also features an improved infotainment system, offering faster response times and multi-functionality and the latest Apple and or Android connectivity.

You can even spec your Astra with an optional Bose sound system. Heavens to Betsy, who would have thought of a Bose sound system in a Vauxhall? Now we’re appropriating 19th-century colloquialisms.

I believe the new/updated 2019 Vauxhall Astra is on sale now. But don’t take my word for, you should never trust journalists.
