It doesn’t matter where this challenge is starting from and heading to, it’s a challenge funded, produced and staged by Shell Oil. Shell Oil a company that has known about the effects of global warming it has contributed towards since the 1970s. Shell Oil, a company that has spent and continues to spend hundreds of millions on a pro-oil, pro-world warming agenda.

We say pro-global warming because Shell Oil continues to drill for oil, continues to contribute to global warming and uses well-known celebrity presenters to do pro-corporate hatchet jobs. The presenters are enablers for Shell Oil to cower behind as the company continues to turn up the temperature of the world.

We here at the Daily Car Blog are stupid on so many levels. We could tap into Shell Oil’s vast marketing and advertising budget. We could become a co-conspirator for Shell Oil. We could convince the public that Shell Oil cares about the environment.

But with only the dog, next-door neighbor’s cat, Carwow and Jeff Bezos as our confirmed daily readers, I don’t think Shell Oil money will be making its way into our hands. It’s going to another cold winter at the DCB HQ offices for sure.
