Why would you want to buy a Ford Fiesta or a boring VW Polo when you buy a Peugeot 208 supermini? The new 208 has bags more style inside and out and draws upon the classic 1990s 205 GTi. The second-generation Peugeot 208 was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2019. But the real question is, is it any good?
The 208 will be available with 1 petrol engine a 1.2 litre, three-cylinder turbo with 74, 99 and 128bhp power displacements. The diesel model will come in just one engine variant, a 1.5 litre four-cylinder engine producing 99bhp.
A fully electric version, the e 208 will be powered by a 50 kWh battery, a 100 kW motor, and a 6.6 kW charger. Peugeot claims a range of 211 miles (340 kilometers).
