We’re living through a digital revolution. Digital technology has evolved faster in the last 5 years than the preceding 20 years. One could argue faster than at any other time since the dawn of the Analytical Engine, which was primitive computer technology. Although the earliest known analog computer, the Antikythera mechanism, was invented by the ancient Greeks 2,000 thousand years ago.

Artificial Intelligence was tried and tested in the 1960s before being abandoned. For many years afterward, it became a niche area of research, but it remained borderline fantasy borderline sci-fi fantasy. Today Artificial Intelligence is re-writing the rules and will form an advanced next step in this digital revolution.

The next step will be the formation of a new industry, it is already here, one that will transform and usurp the useful working life of us all. Imagine an A.I. technology that could one day replace journalists, ergo motoring journalists. What a wonderful world that will be.
