Ferrari will launch their 2016 F1 challenger online this week either on the 19th or 20th February, a few days later they will begin official winter testing in Barcelona. Before that the Ferrari press department had a bit of time on their hands and came up with this YouTube preview.
You won’t see much of the 2016 F1 car, what you will see is a lot of serious faces, fast editing and a Dubstep soundtrack to make everything sound more seriously boombastic.
You will hear the Scuderia Ferrari firing up and this year the sound of an F1 engine will be more “Dubstep” and less Country & Western.
The powers that be have ordered F1 teams to use more bass and less treble by ensuring the turbocharged engines have a separate exhaust wastegate installed.
What that means is a return of the lions roar, which should make F1 sound more like it’s old self again.
