The new Mercedes GLA price and specifications have been revealed. The entry-level GLA Sport will start from £32,640 GBP (Great Brexit Pounds) here in the UK. You’ll have to skip past the Sport Executive, AMG Line, AMG Line Executive, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus before you reach the top-level spec. The top spec, 220d 4Matic GLA AMG Line Premium Plus with driving assistance tops out at £44k.
The new generation GLA will be available with the usual choice of five petrol and diesel engines: 200; 250; 200 d; 200d 4MATIC and 220d. No manual transmissions allowed. Even the 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder GLA 200 comes as standard with the 7G-DCT seven-speed automatic transmission while all other engines use the 8G-DCT eight-speed gearbox.
The entry-level Sport equipment line – only on the 200 and 200 d – includes as standard: 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels; LED headlights; heated front seats; aluminium roof rails; MBUX multimedia system and Mercedes me Connectivity.
