Land Rover has not topped the least reliable car survey, which means the banner headlines are misleading. Misleading headlines are common practices in professional journalism. We merely wanted to kick Land Rover, a car brand that is always on a downward trend. Very much like the Daily Car Blog. Nevertheless, Land Rover, as usual, has made it onto a reliability survey conducted in the UK by Warrantywise. The provider of extended warranty cover has revealed the top 10 most and least most reliable used car brands and models according to its Reliability Index.
Unfortunately, Land Rover was positioned in 9th place for the top 10 least reliable, new-straight-out-of-the-dealership of car brands. More disappointment followed in the Top 10 least reliable used car category where Land Rover was positioned at number 10. Land Rover should be number 1 for both new and used least reliable cars.
As a former Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover Sport owner, both new and used, I can attest to the awful Land Rover reliability issues. Suspension, air-suspension failure, wheel bearing, and a cavalcade of electronic issues from heated seat failure to powered wing mirror failure. In the future, as an advance warning of failure, Land Rover should launch the Land Rover Failure or the Range Rover Daily Car Blog.
Anyway, the survey revealed The average repair for a Land Rover of any type, with 55k on the mileometer, comes in at £1,268.00. The complete results are listed below:
