British designer, Afzal Kahn has taken the Mercedes X Class and used real imagination to reveal a stunning, military-inspired make-over. The Class pick-up received several bespoke design upgrades on both the exterior and interior to make the vehicle in keeping with Project Kahn’s restrained, but courteous in-your-face design language. While many of the original form features were retained, the additions Kahn made are stylish and intended for specific customers who like being extra secure. And the result is a truly outstanding and highly energising look.

Exterior enhancements include special 3D texture black military paint and 22” G06 wheels (also in Black 3D texture) give the vehicle a powerful disposition whilst the wheels are covered by muscular front and rear vented wide wheel arches. 

A front bumper vented spoiler and grille, black pack, vented bonnet and front bumper vents, suspension lift, side steps, protective door guards and a front bumper lower aero crash bar along with a front A bar (stainless steel) are notable additions. 

Project Kahn even goes as far to allow customers the option to specify bullet-proof glass, described as ‘state of the art’ and lighter than the glass normally used to protect VIPs and head of states. Behind the privacy tinted glass, one will find that the cabin is the beneficiary of premium luxury. 

Front and rear seats, reupholstered in quilted soft leather with contrast stitching, signature Kahn door panels, re-upholstered in quilted soft leather, leather stitched gear selector, centre arm rest, dashboard and door armrests, all re-upholstered along with embossed and branded Kahn seat studs make for the finishing touches that completes this distinguished interior.
