At the Tesla AI Day event, Elon Musk made a surprise reveal, the so-called Tesla bot which will become a reality. Elon Musk didn’t give a timeline but he did reveal Tesla Bot will acquire technology used in the Model S, re-purchased, re-configured, and iterated to fit in a bipedal humanoid form. Tesla Bot will use machine learning algorithms linked to a neural net, which is kind of like a cloud-based digital brain.

Musk theorized that in the future the Tesla Bot will perform repetitive manual tasks currently undertaken by humans. From stacking shelves to perhaps cleaning toilets or building a wall. Physical work will become a choice for the future human race said Musk. Maybe Tesla Bots will one day replace human motoring journalists.

However, one area where robots already exist is within certain automotive PR departments. By comparison, Elon Musk and the Tesla Bot are somewhat outdated.
