We can’t verify if the Aston Martin DBX 707 is the galaxy’s most powerful luxury SUV because scientists can not verify if life exists outside the confines of the orbiting bio-sphere we call home. So we may as well give the accolade to Aston Martin until we here on the starship that is mother earth, are contacted by an advanced extraterrestrial alien civilization. And if they do make first contact, one imagines they will have created something exotically powered and even faster. Nevertheless, the DBX 707 is Aston Martin’s first high-performance SUV.

This power crazy Aston Martin developed 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine generates 707PS (697bhp) and 900Nm, an increase of 157PS and 200Nm over the DBX (V8).

A new 9-speed ‘wet clutch’ automatic transmission allows for faster gear changes compared to the torque converter transmission. Launch capability is also improved, allowing the DBX 707 to sprint from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds.

Wheels and tyres are 22in as standard with optional 23in alloy wheels offered.  The larger diameter tyre offers improved steering response and better primary body control.

The Aston Martin DBX 707 also features a new version of the electronic limited slip rear differential (e-diff). Strengthened to handle the full 900Nm of torque.

Torque distribution front-to-rear remains fully automatic, with the ability to send up to 100% of the torque to the rear axle on demand.

The suspension features a new damper valving and recalibration of the dynamic spring volume switching to improve body control and steering response.

Aston Martin DBX 707 production is due to commence in Q1 of 2022. Prices start from £189K, first deliveries are scheduled to begin during early Q2 2022.
