Owning a Range Rover is an endless money pit. YouTuber Hoovies Garage purchased a 2017 long-wheel-base Range Rover for his wife. He was drawn to the car due to its old school 510 bhp V8 Supercharged engine. Hoovies was impressed with the Range Rover’s interior quality, comparing it to a Bentley and even a Rolls Royce. High praise indeed. New, the Range Rover retailed for over $130,000, Hoovie said he paid half that price for his 2017 used example.

Sounds good so far, indeed it gets even better. Hoovie loves how the Range Rover rides and drives. But how has the Range Rover ownership experience been over the course of his 1-year plus ownership? Great and not so great.

The Range Rover started leaking coolant, the suspension control arm failed on one side in addition to some minor interior gripes. But there is one major “ridiculous” issue. Owning a Range Rover was overall a good experience for Mr. Hoovie, but what was the ridiculous issue?
