Aston Martin Caught Up In Yet Another Storm of Its Own Making
Auto News

Riddled with debt, slow sales, and owned by the world’s poorest billionaire, Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin is seemingly caught up in an endless storm that would make planet Jupiter’s storms pale into insignificance. Aston Martin has always been a rich man’s hobby be it the owner class or the investor class.

Indeed, Aston Martin currently exists in a zombified state, like a worn-down trading card, it is at the whims of the volatile world of the stock markets. Aston Martin is a storm within a storm.

Yet another storm is brewing for the company in a continuously perilous state. This storm is called the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate, the final death rattle for the DBS series and possibly the DB11 lineage.

The DBS 770 Ultimate is based on the current DBS only this time it’s personal, this time Aston’s engineers have eeked out extra performance from the 5.2-litre turbocharged V12. Power is boosted from 715bhp to 759bhp.

The DBS 770 Ultimate will not become the most powerful Aston Martin available, that title belongs to the Valhalla, Aston’s 937bhp ultracar, a barely disguised F1 car for the road which is scheduled for retail in 2023.

Meanwhile, the DBS 770 Ultimate will be limited to just 499 examples. We’ll know more when Aston Martin releases its next carefully worded press release, in the next few weeks.
