MKBHD gets behind the wheel of the Bentley Flying Spur PHEV sedan in his latest side-hustle YouTube channel, AutoFocus. The Bentley Flying Spur is powered by a 6.0-litre W12, but MKBHD reckons it would be better if the W12 powertrain was shelved in favor of a pure electric drivetrain.
We agree with MKBHD, an electric drivertrain is far superior in terms of power delivery. Electric car technology is also moving fast, battery range will soon match the capability of ICE engine-powered cars, and in a few years exceed it.
Bentley has seen the horizon before the sunsets on the W12 and future Bentley’s will go fully electric. In the meantime, the Flying Spur PHEV is the frog going for one last swim before the riverbed dries up.
