The Bugatti Bolide Is A Car Batman Dreamt of But Bruce Wayne Never Built
Auto News

If Batman was ever to envision his ultimate Batmobile, it’s highly likely that the Bugatti Bolide would be that vision. Destined to be a forever track-focused hypercar the Bugatti Bolide is powered by an 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine and the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission used in the Chiron. Bugatti’s engineers have uprated the engine which now churns out a massive 1,360 kW 1,824 hp and 1,850 Nm of torque, 277 hp more than the Chiron Super Sport 300+.

The Bugatti Bolide boasts massive combustible performance, paired with impressive weight savings, weighing in at only 1,240 kg. As a result, the Bolide can transduce from 0-60mph in just 2.2 seconds, reaching a speed of 249mph in just 12.1 seconds.

However that isn’t the end of the story, the Bolide boasts a top speed of 311 mph according to its official rating. The standard road going Bugatti Chiron with all its active and passive safety features, weighs in at 2,000kg. Lighter is always better, but with 1,824 hp on tap, the Bugatti Bolide should give the Hadron Large Collider a run for its money.

And guess what? the Bugatti Bolide is significantly more affordable than the Hadron Large Collider, which had a price tag of $4.5 billion USD. The Bolide, on the other hand, will only set you back $4.75 million USD. While it’s still a hefty sum, that’s a vast saving we can believe in… GULP!

Bugatti plans to produce a limited quantity of just 40 units of the Bolide. This vehicle represents the conclusion of an era for Bugatti, as the company shifts its focus towards battery-electric power, bidding farewell to the W16 engine.
