Of course GWM is a Chinese company and obviously, the Haval Raptor is exclusively manufactured in China for the Chinese market.
Thus GWM avoids international trade barriers or taxes beyond Chinese borders which is why the Haval Raptor retails at an amazingly low amount. You know what? The Haval Raptor is powered by two derivatives of the 120 kW (160bhp) turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an 80 kW (107bhp) front electric motor, a powerful 150 kW (250bhp) rear electric motor, a two-speed Direct Hybrid Transmission, and a lithium iron phosphate battery.
The standard version delivers 278 kW (372bhp) and 750 Nm, utilizing a 19.09 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery that provides a 102 km NEDC range in electric mode. The high-end variant boasts 282 kW (378bhp) and 750 Nm, paired with a larger 27.54 kWh LFP battery, extending the NEDC electric mode range to 145 km.
The Haval Raptor, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUV, is offered in three versions priced between 165,800 and 183,800 yuan (approximately 22,700 to 25,200 USD). New owners are entitled to five years of complimentary basic insurance coverage. Additionally, GWM offers a 6,000 yuan discount ($821) to buyers who place a 2,000 yuan deposit.
Customers trading in their GWM vehicle are eligible for a 5,000 yuan reward, and those transitioning from non-GWM brands receive a 4,000 yuan benefit. Additionally, GWM offers a 70,000 yuan interest-free loan, spread over 24 instalments, for customers with a 15% down payment. Owners of Haval brand vehicles not only benefit from a lifetime warranty on the drive system but also receive a complimentary charger.
