Volvo’s direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y, the EX30, has revealed that it will be priced from $36,000. The Volvo EX30 will be available in single or dual-motor configurations. The single motor configuration provides 268 horsepower (272 PS / 200 kW) and 253 lb-ft (343 Nm) of torque. The dual-motor setup delivers a 422 horsepower (428 PS / 315 kW) and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.4 seconds, making it the quickest Volvo ever.

The single motor powertrain is available across all trim levels, including the Core trim priced at $40,195, the Plus trim, and the Ultra trim, both priced at $41,895. However, if you opt for the dual-motor powertrain, it is exclusively available with the Plus and Ultra trim levels.

The Single Motor iterations of the EX30 provide the highest range with lab lab-tested range of up to 275 miles (442 km). The twin motor configuration achieves 265 miles (426 km) of range. It should be noted that these range estimates are indeed estimates and therefore an unreliable measure.

While comprehensive equipment details are still pending release, you can anticipate the inclusion of premium sound systems from Harmon Kardon, as well as the customary array of passive and active safety features.
