Lucid has unveiled the all-electric, three-row Gravity SUV, the company’s second model to date. The Lucid Gravity is promised to offer ample space, a luxurious driving experience, and a range of up to 440 miles (708 km), all wrapped in a price tag just shy of $80,000.

While certain details like power and torque figures are yet to be disclosed, Lucid highlights that the Gravity introduces its next generation of electric motors. These motors can propel the SUV to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a swift 3.5 seconds, tow up to 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg), and accommodate a cargo load of 1,500 lbs (680 kg).

Peter Rawlinson, Lucid’s CEO, expressed, “Customers can expect an unparalleled blend of spaciousness, maneuverability, luxury, and versatility seamlessly integrated into this remarkable vehicle, embodying the true Lucid driving experience and range.”

Lucid has not disclosed the specifics regarding the size of the Gravity’s battery pack. However, the company assures that it will be significantly smaller, potentially half the size of its competitors. Despite this reduction, Lucid aims for an impressive range of up to 440 miles (708 km). To put this into perspective, the Tesla Model X, in comparison, achieves a range of just 348 miles (560 km).

While certain specifics, like power and torque figures, remain undisclosed, Lucid heralds the Gravity as the inauguration of its cutting-edge electric motor technology. These motors are poised to accelerate the hiant SUV to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.5 seconds, facilitate a towing capacity of up to 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg), and accommodate a cargo load of 1,500 lbs (680 kg).

The drivers cabin is dominated by a 34-inch curved OLED display perched atop the dashboard. Internally, the Lucid Gravity provides a cargo area of up to 112 cubic feet. This is achieved through the flat-folding capability of the third and second-row seats.

The Lucid Gravity is set to debut with a starting price below $80,000, and production commences in late 2024,
