The Isuzu D-Max BEV marks the company’s first tentative steps into the world of electric propulsion. The D-Max BEV boasts a 1-tonne payload, 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and a full-time 4WD system featuring newly developed e-Axles both in the front and rear, ensuring familiar performance on rough terrain while minimizing noise and vibration.
Equipped with a 66.9kWh lithium-ion battery capacity and capable of producing a maximum output of 130kW, the electric D-Max delivers impressive power and instantaneous torque, offering a smooth and linear acceleration typical of BEVs. Additionally, it has a maximum top speed of 130km/h (81mph)
In alignment with its commitment to promoting sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, Isuzu views the D-Max BEV as a significant milestone in its journey towards a carbon-neutral world. The company plans to introduce the D-Max BEV initially in select mainland European markets.
By 2025, with further expansion to the UK, Australia, Thailand, and other countries contingent upon market demand and the advancement of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
The D-Max BEV will mark its debut at the 2024 Bangkok International Motor Show, pricing and specs will be revealed at a later date.
