Taking Back Control: Volvo Introduces “Affordable” Entry-Level EX30
Auto News

Volvo UK is taking back control of the electric car market by expanding its UK EX30 lineup with the introduction of the new entry-level Core specification, making the fully electric small SUV more accessible to a broader audience.

The EX30 Core joins Plus and Ultra grades and will be offered in two powertrains: Single Motor, with a driving range of up to 151 miles, and Single Motor Extended Range, capable of up to 236 miles of real world range.

The Core specification comes equipped with standard features including a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights with active high beam, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The 12.3-inch touchscreen system includes Google integration, and a dashboard-mounted soundbar ensures high-quality audio.

Additionally, the Single Motor Extended Range version features an energy-saving heat pump in its climate control system, optimizing power usage and driving range.

Pricing starts at £32,850 for the Single Motor version and £37,050 for the Single Motor Extended Range. All EX30 models come with three years/60,000 miles of servicing, which covers wear and tear items such as wiper blades, brake discs, and pads.

The new EX30 Core is available to order now, with the first customer deliveries expected in early 2025.
