The YouTube channel Telescope is based in China, and, as you’d expect, the presenter reviews electric cars from Chinese brands. Makes sense, doesn’t it? The latest review features the Zeekr 7X, a premium electric car brand from Chinese corporate monolith Geely. The Zeekr 7X is just one more in a growing list of Chinese competitors aiming to rival Tesla’s Model Y.

But is the Zeekr 7X actually better than the Tesla Model Y? According to the reviewer, while the 7X can’t quite match the Model Y’s efficiency, it’s still a very close competition.

As with many car reviewers, the presenter—whom we’ll call Xiānshēng (since we don’t know his real name)—maintains that the Zeekr 7X is a strong contender.

Xiānshēng also compares the 7X to the Aston Martin DBX, which doesn’t say much in favor of the DBX from a Chinese point of view.
