Autogefuhl Reviews A Vintage Mercedes S Class… In 4k and full screen

You know what? I’m starting to admire the old classics of yesteryear, despite my long-held belief that modern cars are significantly better in every way than those built 20 or 30 years ago. The Mercedes W126, featured in Autogefühl’s latest review, might be one of the last truly over-engineered Mercedes models—almost flawless in execution and built to stand the test of time.

By today’s standards, the W126 is undeniably dated and falls short of the performance, technology, and comfort offered by the current-generation S-Class. It simply doesn’t compete with modern luxury benchmarks. And yet, after giving it some more thought, I still find myself leaning toward modernity over the vintage charm of 1991. Modern cars really are in a league of their own.

Still, thanks for the memories, Mercedes W126. You had your moment in the spotlight—but that moment has passed.
