The last two major stars of the cinematic era, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, joined forces at the F1 movie launch event held in London on June 23rd. While Cruise doesn’t appear in the film, he is, as you’d expect, deeply connected within the Hollywood film industry. He shares a long-standing producing partnership with powerhouse producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced F1.

One might have expected Cruise to parachute into the premiere or sprint down the red carpet, but instead, he arrived in style—dapper and composed—as he posed for the cameras alongside his friend Brad Pitt. The two last starred together in 1994’s Interview with the Vampire. It’s hard to believe they’re both now in their early 60s.

As for the F1 Movie, Brad Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a legendary F1 driver whose career came to a screeching halt after a devastating crash in the ’90s. Three decades later, he’s lured out of the shadows by his former teammate (Javier Bardem) for one last shot at glory—to lead a scrappy underdog team, APXGP, back into the fight for racing supremacy.
