MG debuted two new EVs at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the MG IM5 executive saloon and MG IM6 SUV—under its new “IM” (Intelligence in Motion) sub-brand. These models represent MG’s leap into premium luxury, high-tech EV territory.
The IM5 Long Range offers up to 441 miles of range from a 100 kWh battery, with ultra-fast charging (10–80% in 17 minutes) on an 800V platform. Acceleration from 0–62 mph takes just 3.2 seconds for the IM5 and 3.5 seconds for the IM6. Both feature MG’s new Hurricane electric motors, digital chassis tech, and advanced assisted driving systems developed with Momenta.

Inside, drivers are treated to what MG claims are “ultra-luxury cabins” with a 26.3” HD infotainment display, 20-speaker audio system with in-ceiling Sky Speakers, a panoramic roof, and features like Rainy Night Mode and One Touch Park Assist. The IM5 also boasts rear-wheel turning to achieve a tight 9.98m turning circle.
MG is launching six variants across both models, with prices starting at £39,450 and reaching £52,995 for the IM6 Launch Edition.
