Tavarish paid over $576,000 for the flood-damaged McLaren P1 in 2022, which raises the question: are car blogs really of any use these days, when a YouTuber can earn enough money to casually spend half a million dollars on a car, a sum that could be life-changing for many or represent a lifetime of savings?
Anyway, the plan was to build the fastest McLaren P1 possible, and who better to approach than the car’s original designer, Frank Stephenson. For those unfamiliar, Stephenson is regarded as one of the most influential automotive designers of his era.
That said, Stephenson is a designer rather than a pure engineer, although he has accumulated the engineering knowledge necessary to create a high-performance hypercar like the McLaren P1.
A project like this, however, requires close collaboration with engineers, and Stephenson brings together diverse perspectives to develop a workable solution.
