JAECOO UK has announced full pricing and specifications for its first all-electric model in the UK, the JAECOO E5. Priced from £27,505 OTR, the compact SUV offers a zero-emission alternative to the petrol-powered JAECOO 5, retaining the brand’s rugged styling in a smaller, city-friendly package.

Powered by a 207 PS electric motor and a 61.1 kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate battery, the E5 delivers up to 248 miles of WLTP range, 0–62 mph in 7.7 seconds, and 288 Nm of torque. Charging takes around 27 minutes from 30–80% with an 80 kW DC fast charger, while an 11 kW AC charger supports overnight home charging.

Practicality features include vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability for powering external devices, over 35 storage spaces, a 480-litre boot, and a ‘Pet Mode’ for keeping animals safe when parked. The interior features a 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and JAECOO’s voice assistant, with trims ranging from the well-equipped Pure to the premium Luxury, which adds extras such as a panoramic sunroof and heated, ventilated seats.

With UK-specific chassis tuning, 19 ADAS features, and warranties of up to 8 years/100,000 miles on the battery, the E5 targets buyers seeking a versatile EV for both urban use and outdoor adventures. First UK deliveries are set for October.
