BYD has unveiled the ATTO 2 DM-i, a compact SUV for the European market that features the company’s Super Hybrid with DM technology, delivering improved efficiency and a combined driving range of up to 621 miles. The new model prioritises an EV-like driving experience with hybrid backup, offering up to 55 miles of pure-electric range and fuel consumption as low as 1.8L/100km.
The ATTO 2 DM-i features a refreshed SUV design with full LED lighting, a larger grille than the EV version, a floating roofline and new colour options. Two powertrain versions are offered:
Active: 7.8kWh battery, 24 miles EV range, 166PS, 577 miles combined range
Boost: 18kWh battery, 55 miles EV range, 212PS, 0–62 mph= in 7.5s, 621 miles combined range
Inside, the cabin is upgraded with a new palette of materials, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital cluster and BYD’s new AI-powered “Hi BYD” voice assistant with advanced multi-turn dialogue. Boost models add a panoramic roof, heated seats, and wireless charging. Boot space ranges from 425L to 1,335L.

Both trims come well equipped with LED lighting, advanced infotainment, smart key access and a full suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind-spot detection, and automatic emergency braking.

The ATTO 2 DM-i will go on sale in Europe in early 2026, with pricing announced closer to launch. It includes a six-year manufacturer warranty and eight-year battery and drivetrain coverage.
