Polestar has announced that its new Polestar 5 will debut in Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation 4 and 5 this December 2025, following its reveal at the GT World Series event in Los Angeles.

In a unique collaboration, Polestar and Polyphony Digital worked closely together, sharing design and development data to ensure a highly accurate digital recreation of the electric performance car.

The project involved professional racing driver and Gran Turismo champion Igor Fraga, who tested prototype vehicles and provided feedback to fine-tune the virtual car’s handling.

The release will coincide with a special time trial event in Gran Turismo 7, with the winner earning a trip to Fukuoka, Japan, to attend the 2025 GT World Series World Finals. A behind-the-scenes documentary about the collaboration will also premiere on Polestar’s YouTube channel when the event begins.
