Toyota’s next-generation Hilux is set for a global debut on November 10, hitting Thailand and Europe at the same time. The teaser trailer showcases a bolder, sharper look with slimmer LED headlights, a sculpted hood, bigger bumper intakes, and black alloy wheels, while the rear flaunts angular LED taillights and a prominent TOYOTA badge.
Inside, leaks hint at a modernised cabin with a digital instrument cluster, freestanding infotainment screen, and upgraded materials for a more SUV-like vibe. The Hilux sticks with an updated IMV ladder-frame platform, skipping the TNGA-F chassis of the Tacoma and Land Cruiser.
Under the hood, it retains the mild-hybrid 2.8L turbodiesel delivering 201 hp and 500 Nm, with rear- or four-wheel drive. The smaller 2.4L diesel and 2.7L petrol engines are being phased out, with hybrid and EV versions on the horizon.
Built in Thailand, the revamped Hilux is ready to take on the Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, and a growing crop of Chinese pickups.
