Mercedes has pulled the covers off the new electric GLB, and it’s essentially a Swiss Army knife on wheels—except this one can tow a caravan, ferry an entire tennis team, and still blast 260 km of range into its battery before you’ve finished your motorway pasty.
Launching in spring 2026, the GLB 250+ claims a chin-rubbing 631 km range (400 miles), which is more than enough to get you across most European countries without resorting to public-charge-point roulette.
If that’s not enough, there’s the GLB 350 4MATIC, which adds a second motor and a heroic amount of traction for those moments when your “scenic detour” turns into a rally stage.

Inside, it’s a bit like Mercedes raided the Starship Enterprise: three massive screens behind one sheet of glass, an AI assistant that knows your habits better than your mother, and enough ambient lighting modes to make a nightclub blush.

Families get four child-seat anchor points, seven seats if they want them, and more frunk space than anyone asked for but everyone will absolutely use.

And thanks to its new 800-volt system, the GLB hoovers up electrons at up to 320 kW, meaning you can add 260 km of range in the time it takes your kids to argue about who’s sitting where.

Looks? Chunky, upright, unapologetically SUV. The grille even has 94 animated LED stars, presumably because Mercedes wanted to distract you from the fact your neighbours will now definitely hate you.
Coming later: cheaper electric versions and hybrids, because Mercedes wants to ensure there is a GLB for absolutely every human on Earth.
