Lotus has officially revealed the physical model of its all-new plug-in hybrid SUV in China, the Lotus Eletre, ahead of its market debut in early 2026. The PHEV counterpart to the all-electric Eletre, the For Eletre PHEV keeps the same exterior design language and dimensions, measuring 5,103 mm long with a 3,019 mm wheelbase.

Performance upgrades include custom Pirelli P Zero 5 LTS tyres, Brembo six-piston brakes, and an active rear spoiler, helping the SUV achieve an a 33.9-metre braking distance.

Optional features disclosed in MIIT filings include deployable lidar, various wheel and brake designs, a roof rack, and an electric tow hook.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbo engine paired with dual electric motors, delivering a massive 952 hp and sending the SUV from 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Built on a 900-volt platform, it carries a 70 kWh battery capable of 220miles of pure-electric range and supports ultra-fast 6C charging—going from 30% to 80% in just eight minutes.

For handling, the Eletre PHEV features advanced dual-chamber air suspension, adaptive damping, and an active stabiliser bar.

It is Lotus’s first-ever PHEV model, joining the fully electric 2026 Eletre BEV, which launched earlier this year starting at roughly USD 77,600.
