The MINI Countryman Electric has been given a clever bit of engineering wizardry, and the result is a range of more than 300 miles (allegedly).
Thanks to a new silicon carbide inverter, a bigger 65.2 kWh battery and some friction-reducing trickery underneath.

The Countryman E can now manage up to 307 (allegedly) miles on a charge, while the all-wheel-drive SE ALL4 isn’t far behind at 287 miles(allegedly).

That extra range makes an already useful MINI even more appealing. It’s still a chunky little crossover with classic MINI proportions, plenty of interior space and a boot big enough for family life.

The interior keeps things minimalist with a big circular OLED screen and the iconic toggle switches. You also get modern driver assistance tech offering up to Level 2 autonomy, because even MINIs have to be sensible sometimes.

Best of all, buyers can pocket the full £3,750 government Electric Car Grant, which softens the blow of going electric. The longer-range MINI Countryman Electric lands in showrooms from March 2026—and for once, range anxiety might not be invited along for the ride.
