The 2026 BYD SEAL arrives in the UK with a series of incremental upgrades while keeping its starting price at £45,730. The update focuses on improved practicality, subtle design tweaks and expanded technology rather than major mechanical changes.
Exterior revisions include new 19-inch wheels, three additional paint colours and revised rear badging. Inside, the cabin retains Nappa leather but adopts a cleaner headrest design.

Practicality improves significantly, with boot space increasing to 485 litres and the front storage area growing to 72 litres.
Technology is enhanced with the addition of a Driver Monitoring System and a Bluetooth smartphone key.

The Design trim remains well equipped with features such as a panoramic roof, Dynaudio audio system and 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, while the Excellence model adds a head-up display.
Performance options are unchanged: the rear-wheel-drive Design produces 308bhp (0–62mph in 5.9 seconds), while the all-wheel-drive Excellence delivers 523bhp (0–62mph in 3.8 seconds).

The 82.5kWh Blade Battery provides up to 354 miles of WLTP range, with 150kW rapid charging enabling a 10–80% charge in 37 minutes.
Prices remain £45,730 for Design and £48,730 for Excellence, backed by a six-year vehicle warranty and eight-year battery cover. Overall, the 2026 update strengthens the SEAL’s appeal through targeted improvements without increasing cost.
