Nissan Juke EV
…and why not…
Auto News

We don’t feature Nissan much because—frankly—they’re infuriating. Largely because they’re owned by Renault… or more accurately, perpetually throttled by Renault. And like Renault, Nissan turns out good-looking cars saddled with even dodgier powertrains and electrics.

So here’s the new Nissan Juke EV. No doubt the usual motoring journalists—those who believe “access is better than no access”—are already gushing over it, eager to keep the hand that feeds them well and truly happy.

And yes, to be fair, it does look interesting—arguably even bold—with its sharp, complex surfacing. This isn’t some pie-in-the-sky concept either; it’s a production-ready car.

It also highlights just how far manufacturing has come. The tooling, presses, and sheer technical precision needed to produce panels like this at scale—and have them actually line up—simply didn’t exist a decade ago.

But would I buy one? Absolutely not. It’s a Renault underneath, and I have zero interest in reliving that ownership experience.

But of course… and why not.
