Mercedes‑Benz has unveiled a heavily updated version of its flagship electric saloon, the Mercedes‑Benz EQS, introducing major advances in range, efficiency, software, and driver assistance.
Built on a next-generation electric architecture, the new EQS features 800-volt technology, improved battery chemistry, more efficient electric drive units, and a two-speed rear gearbox.
Mercedes claims the upgrades significantly boost performance, enabling up to 425 miles of real world range range and ultra-fast charging of up to 350 kW.

A key highlight is the new MB.OS operating system, which uses AI and cloud connectivity to integrate all vehicle functions, enabling continuous over-the-air updates and a more intelligent digital assistant experience.
The updated MBUX Hyperscreen and virtual assistant provide deeper personalisation and interactive features.

Comfort and luxury are further enhanced with innovations such as seat-belt heating, improved rear-seat entertainment, HEPA air filtration, and refined interior materials, while design updates sharpen the EQS’s exterior presence and aerodynamic efficiency.

On the driving side, the EQS introduces steer-by-wire technology (first for a German manufacturer in series production), advanced driver assistance systems, improved suspension comfort via intelligent damper control, and expanded parking and safety features using upgraded sensors and AI.
Overall, the new EQS represents a major technological leap, reinforcing Mercedes-Benz’s focus on long-range efficiency, digital intelligence, and luxury comfort in the electric era.
