At Milan Design Week, Ferrari unveiled the livery of its Hypersail, a 100-foot foiling ocean monohull that merges cutting-edge sailing technology with the brand’s signature design philosophy.
The project is an open innovation platform, bringing together Ferrari’s engineering and design teams—led by Flavio Manzoni, Matteo Lanzavecchia, and naval architect Guillaume Verdier—to push the limits of performance, aerodynamics, and aesthetics in offshore sailing.

Design is entirely performance-driven, with every shape dictated by wind, water, and speed. The boat’s form draws inspiration from Ferrari cars like the Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2 and the Ferrari 499P, blending automotive styling with naval engineering.

A standout feature is the integration of walkable solar panels, optimized for energy capture and crew movement, supporting a system powered by renewable energy (wind, solar, and motion).
The livery combines Grigio Hypersail (carbon fiber grey) with Nuovo Giallo Fly, a historic Ferrari yellow linked to Enzo Ferrari and racing heritage. This color scheme reflects both performance and brand identity, echoing models like the Ferrari 512 BB.

The project is showcased through an exhibition at the Ferrari Flagship Store Milan and a lighthouse-style installation at HIGHLINE Milano, symbolising a new frontier in design, innovation, and offshore sailing performance.
