Skoda has pulled the covers off the Peaq, its largest and most practical electric car to date, a seven-seat EV that doesn’t cost the same as a small country.
Prices start from £51,980 on the road, with order books opening in September 2026.
The Peaq is the brand’s new flagship EV, but it will also play a key role in expanding its electric line-up as the Czech manufacturer continues its push towards electrification.

Styling follows Škoda’s latest ‘Modern Solid’ design philosophy, which is marketing speak for a cleaner, chunkier and more upright look.
Judging by the pictures, it appears to have borrowed a few cues from the Vision 7S concept while retaining the sensible, family-friendly character that has become a Skoda trademark.

With seating for seven, a boot ranging from 299 litres to a cavernous 2,075 litres, plus a handy 37-litre front trunk, the Peaq looks set to continue Škoda’s long-standing obsession with practicality.
In other words, there are enough storage spaces to lose your phone, keys and dignity all at the same time. Buyers will be able to choose from three trim levels: SE L, Edition and SportLine.

Underneath, there are two powertrain options. The rear-wheel-drive 90 and the all-wheel-drive 90x, both powered by an 86kWh usable battery pack.
If range anxiety is still keeping you awake at night, Škoda claims a WLTP range of up to 390 miles, putting it among the longest-range electric SUVs on sale.

When it does need charging, the Peaq can accept DC charging speeds of up to 199kW, meaning a 10 to 80 per cent top-up takes around 28 minutes.
That’s roughly enough time to grab a coffee, check your emails and spend five minutes wondering why charging stations always seem to be located in the windiest corner of a car park.

Inside, the Peaq introduces a new Android-based infotainment system centred around a portrait-orientated 13.6-inch touchscreen.
Thankfully, Skoda appears to have focused on usability as much as screen size, while higher-spec models add a premium Sonos sound system for those who enjoy listening to podcasts about electric cars while driving an electric car.
So, a seven-seat electric SUV with nearly 400 miles of range, rapid charging and enough luggage space to transport an entire family’s holiday wardrobe.
