YouTuber Rich Rebuilds has bought a $140,000 Lucid Air for the bargain-basement price of just $4,100. There is, naturally, a catch: it’s been smashed to bits.
Rich is no stranger to rescuing battered electric cars, so the plan is simple: buy the wreck, rebuild it and see if he can bring this rather expensive American EV back to life.
But then Lucid got wind of his plans to film the repair. And that’s when things took an interesting turn. The company sent him a legal notice, which one can only presume was its rather formal way of saying: “Please stop doing that.”
