Drifting a car used to be the preserve of mindless thugs, but over the past 10 years it has evolved into a serious competitive sport. When this happens sponsors get involved and the money starts to roll in. Chris Forsberg won the 2016 Formula Drift championship a sport that has been running since 2004 and is gaining in popularity.
Formula Drift originated in the US of A and has slowly established an international brand presence. We actually don’t know much about the competitors nor how highly they are rated.
A quick Google search led us to the Formula Drift’s Wikipedia page and really it’s like we’re stumbling around in the dark looking for the light switch.
