Remember the MARSIEN? That gloriously bonkers Porsche-based machine that looked like someone had crossed a Dakar racer with a supercar and then given the whole thing several thousand volts of caffeine?
Well, it’s back. And it has decided to behave itself. Sort of.

Meet the MARSIEN GT, the road-focused evolution of Marc Philipp Gemballa’s extraordinary off-road supercar. Limited to just 30 examples, it takes the original MARSIEN recipe and turns the dial towards grand touring — without removing the insanity.
Underneath, it starts with a Porsche 992 Turbo S. Then almost everything gets thrown away.
Around 1,500 individually engineered components are involved in the transformation, including more than 100 carbon-fibre exterior parts. There are active front-fender louvres, an active rear wing, a roof scoop, ram-air intakes and a full carbon-fibre underbody. The result is 75kg lighter than the standard Turbo S.

And because apparently 911 Turbo S performance wasn’t quite sufficient, RUF has been brought in to work its magic on the flat-six.
The result? More than 830bhp and 930Nm. A second-stage upgrade promising more than 900bhp is already being developed.
But this MARSIEN isn’t merely interested in going stupidly fast in a straight line. Its new double-wishbone suspension, developed with KW Automotive, uses electronically controlled dampers capable of responding in just 20 milliseconds.

There’s even a 60mm nose lift, because apparently the world’s most exclusive carbon-fibre supercars occasionally encounter speed bumps.
Inside, things are equally bespoke, with Alcantara, carbon fibre, a Carrera GT-inspired gear lever and individual production-number plaques.
The launch car gets a special champagne-gold paint finish created to celebrate Uwe Gemballa’s 70th anniversary.
Just 30 will be built, taking total MARSIEN production to 70 cars worldwide.
The MARSIEN went looking for adventure off-road.
The GT has come back with a titanium exhaust, 830bhp and absolutely no intention of being sensible.
