Lucid to enter French EV market
Lucid Sets Its Sights On France With Paris Motor Show Debut
Auto News

Lucid is preparing to enter the French market, marking another significant step in the American electric vehicle maker’s European expansion.

The company has reached an agreement with Emil Frey France to provide operational support around its market launch, while Lucid will retain control of its brand, commercial strategy and customer experience. Imports will also be managed directly by Lucid.

The French launch will initially centre on two models: the Lucid Air luxury sedan and the Gravity SUV. Both will make their first public appearance in France at the Paris Motor Show in October, giving the brand an opportunity to introduce itself directly to French customers.

The Paris Motor Show runs from 12 to 18 October at Porte de Versailles and will form a key part of Lucid’s official market introduction.

The partnership with Emil Frey provides Lucid with local automotive expertise and infrastructure without requiring the company to hand over control of its commercial identity.

Selected operational functions will be handled by Emil Frey France’s Import Division, while Lucid maintains responsibility for how the brand is positioned and experienced by customers.

For Lucid, France represents another opportunity to establish itself in Europe’s increasingly competitive premium EV market. With the Air and Gravity, the company will enter with both a flagship sedan and a larger SUV aimed at broadening its appeal.
