The Porsche Panamera’s styling divides opinions because it looks bland yet at other times you kind of get what Porsche are doing. Thankfully the Panamera’s first generation stint is nearly over and as these images can attest the second generation is currently being tested.
From what we can see from these spy shots the Panamera is looking slightly less bland which is one step up from bland.
The second generation Panamera will be based on a brand new Volkswagen platform, the chassis will be lighter, stiffer and therefore more fuel efficient.

The VW MSB platform will also be shared with Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti which means there will be a four/five door Bugatti sedan in the not so distant future.
The new Panamera will début at the Paris Motorshow on Spetember 29 and will go on sale in Europe first before being made available for China and US markets in 2017.
Panamera sales underperformed during 2015 but did find an appreciative market stability in China where buying preferences are made on interior front and rear space.

On a global level Panamera sales declined by 31 percent during 2015 with just over 17k units sold, sales spiked in 2012 when just over 29k units were sold.
To bolster demand in Europe Porsche is said to be developing a shooting brake version of the Panamera, which is another way to say estate (station-wagon).
In the UK the Panamera is offered in eight model variants an entry level model starts at £61k. The line-up also includes a E-Hybrid model which costs £81k the top spec Panamera Turbo S costs £131k.
